Türkiye Publishes Updating Draft Food Supplements Regulation

On 3 November 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry published a draft amendment of the Food Supplement Regulation (draft regulation). The ministry will accept public comments on the draft until 30 November 2023.

Brazilian Senate Approves Bolivia’s Full Membership in MERCOSUR

On 28 November 2023, the Brazilian Senate approved the draft Legislative Decree PDL 380/2023 to accept the Plurinational State of Bolivia as a full member state of the South American Common Market trading block (MERCOSUR). Bolivia, which had previously held an associate state status alongside Chile, Peru, and Colombia, now joins the ranks of Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay as a full member.

An independent consultant, he previously served on the board of Green Street, a commercial real estate data, news and research company. James has a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. 

Raj Gupta


Raj Gupta was born in a small village in Uttar Pradesh, India. As a 22-year-old in Spring 1968, he came to the United States with only $8 in his pocket to do graduate studies in Operations Research/Computer Science at Cornell. He built a 39-year career at the global Fortune 500 specialty materials company Rohm and Haas, where he retired as Chairman and CEO in April 2009.
