Verisk 3E recently participated and presented at Cority Connect 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana. During the conference Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professionals from around the world discussed current trends and issues affecting their business. Some of the more interesting and pressing issues were how organizations are digitalizing their business, how they are participating in the rise of Industry 4.0 and how they continue to deal with dispersed compliance data from all across their enterprise.
We were grateful to have been offered a speaking slot and were able to speak about Aligning Chemical Data to EHS Processes. Buoyed by the sound of brass and percussion from the Mardi Gras festivities on Canal Street below we spoke about some of the mandatory as well as voluntary pressures companies are facing worldwide. We then went on to showcase the hidden value that can be unlocked by centralizing the collection and aggregation of key chemical data. The presentation ended with a discussion of the value in aligning this aggregated chemical data to core EHS processes.
Participants at Cority Connect were also privileged to have Vijay Gudivaka, Executive Director of Arcadis, present on the Five Factors that Drive Successful EHSQ Software Adoption. Attendees were also treated to a presentation on Technology Trends Reshaping EHS Processes by David Metcalf, CEO of Verdantix. One of the highlights of the event was the Thursday morning workshop and panel on Compliance Best Practices led by Pamela Bobbit, VP of Marketing at Cority. The panel featured Connie Prostko-Bell, Information Driven Performance Practice Lead at Arcadis, as well as Elsa Villegas-Snevely, Director of Customer Engagement for RegScan. The team talked about the value of Industry 4.0 and what effects it will have on the business.
The conference finale was a lovely night at the original House of Blues where conference goers were entertained and select organizations were presented with excellence awards.
